Yes, they talk about a "combination of circumstances" spoiling the Aurelian fairy tale. The key circumstance (not mentioned) is that our trusted Board of Directors played fast and loose with their fiduciary responsibilities and enriched themselves at the expense of their shareholders. The fairy tale was turned into a horror story.
Not without significant help from the Ecuadorean Govt. I might add. They set the stage with their hair-brained windfall tax and mining mandate. They anticipated that greed would be the driving factor in attracting capital, and failed to recognize their own greed, plus the transitory nature of greed and how quickly it turns to fear.
If there's a silver lining to the recent weakness in metals and oil, it's that it served as a wake up call to that govt. to start playing in the real world. I'm sure that's why the WFT is being dropped.
Not that it helps us any, and it's probably too little too late for them as well. I know I won't be back, and I expect that holds true for junior explorers as a whole. Let's face it, these rock hounds aren't really that sophisticated. They move as a herd, and now that Aurelian is toast, they'll give Ecuador a wide berth.
