I must defer to EBear, Aitakahashi, Ripa, et al in that on closer consideration it looks suspiciously like the Ecuador Government has played a leading role in our downfall, somewhat more devious than I had expected of the typical all-thumbs Latin American style of governing.
If this indeed IS the case, the only way we stand a chance of shedding light on the plot and perhaps finding a way of capitalizing on it is to KEEP THE PRESSURE ON any way we can, by not tendering, not selling and pursuing any/all legal options in a brisk but cost-effective way. It appears that Britnick and cohorts have the investigation of legal options well in hand. BEST WISHES TO THEM!
