Fearless, it looks like I was a little too complacent in not looking into this offer situation more closely. Scotia McLeod tells me my shares are gone to the clearing house as of an Oct l0th deadline. They say the switch to K is now irrevocable.
What they couldn't tell me, was on what authority this was done. My reading of the K offer and the CBCA made it seem clear that there would be an Offeror's Notice by registered mail and 20 days to dissent. I feel blindsided by the lack of warning that there was a process other than the one described in these documents.
I suspect you may have withdrawn your shares from your broker before Oct l0th. If not, you may wait a long time for an Offeror's Notice.
Looks like my ARU shares have gone into the dustbin of history!
If there is any hope of reviving my right to dissent, I'd greatly appreciate your giving me a lead to it.
Regards, Jim (Orange Flash)
