Avion holds 80% of the Tabakoto and Segala gold projects in Mali. Gold production commenced at these projects in 2009 with approximately 51,290 ounces produced. 2010 production was 87,630 ounces of gold.

AVION TO RELEASE 2010 1ST QUARTER FINANCIALS AND MD&A ON MAY 20, 2010

Avion Gold Corp. expects to file its 2010 first quarter financials and management's discussion and analysi on SEDAR on Thursday May 20, 2010. Going forward for 2010, the company expects to release production figures on a monthly basis.

In addition, the Company announces that Rene Bharti has resigned as an officer of the Company, effective immediately, to pursue other business opportunities. The Board would like to thank Rene for his contribution and wish him well in his future endeavors
