Nothing specific to BLTA regarding my soviet experience, just that there seemed to be dozens of black market avenues to get almost anything one wanted. Rule of Law was loose at best.

We are decades in the future from that time, but it makes me wonder.

If it's not really an exclusive route (or one that won't last forever), my excitement about BLTA's non-stop to St. Pete could be reduced.
