thanks tommy b
good input.
An interesting example of this is Adherex technologies (AHX:TSX). I have followed them closely for years. They laid off all staff recently, and the board is working for free (for now, of course). They have several drugs in development for oncology from phase I to III. Last quarterly news release was dire with some luke warm optimism, although many people still believe some of their intellectual assets still have value.
Anyway, as we speak, they have traded close to 4,000,000 shares today with no press releases. Trading down a couple of pennies from 5.5 to 3.5 cents. No insider trades reported yet (seems to me Insiders have a couple of days to disclose. Begs all kinds of questions: insider blackout until today? Imminent news? ...???)
Might be an interesting one to watch for anyone into the microcap R&D scene. AHX has always been X months from turning out the lights, but kept getting financing at the last minute. But what has been particularly startling is how fast the recent demise has been.
Dead cat bounce today? We will probably find out shortly.
