Message: Bowmore Outlines Broad Gold Anomalies on La Scie Property

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 26, 2013) - Bowmore Explorations Ltd. (the "Company" or "Bowmore") (TSX VENTURE:BOW)(FRANKFURT:OB5) is pleased to announce that it has discovered several broad zones of anomalous gold values following a summer-fall 2013 regional rock sampling program on the La Scie Gold property, located on the eastern extremity of the Baie Verte peninsula in Newfoundland. The La Scie Gold project is a grass-roots exploration program, initiated in mid-2013, that targeted high grade gold showings reported in 2012.

A 1000 sample program covering about 113km² led to the discovery of three gold zones (Burton, Isaiah, and Jonah) that are spread aver a total distance of 1,800 metres. Values from chip samples from these three zones have assayed as high as 56.5, 1.7 and 6.6 g/t Au, respectively. The table below summarizes the dimensions and range of gold values obtained from this rock sampling program:

Zone Length (m) Width (m) Au value range (g/t)
BURTON 400 25-40 0.02-56.5
ISAIAH 160 15-35 0.02-1.7
JONAH 250 100 0.02-6.6

Mineralization consists of disseminated pyrite-gold in sericite shists and felsic tuff that are also cut by auriferous quartz veins. The Jonah showing is located within a zone of pyritized and silicified felsic volcanics that covers an area measuring 2,300 metres in length and 100 to 350 metres in width, suggesting the presence of a large hydrothermal system.

The La Scie Gold property now includes 455 claims covering 11,375 hectares, staked within two major claim blocks.

Bowmore is presently conducting a details soil and rock sample program on the property over the three main showings to better define the mineralized zones and to identify drill targets for early winter 2014.

Samples were sent for analysis at Accurassay's main facility in Sudbury, ON where 50 g aliquots were analyzed by Fire Assay with an atomic absorption finish (FA/AAS). For QaQc protocols, Accurassay inserted duplicates every 10 samples. During sampling, Bowmore took a witness of each sample for any further verification and reference.
