Brett Resources Inc. (TSX Venture Exchange - BBR is pleased to provide an update on assay results from continued drilling of the Hammond Reef Project, northwestern Ontario. Results received are from the A-Zone, Mitta Lake, and also from first pass drilling of the RAB and Sande and Stewart exploration areas.

A-Zone infill drilling continues to return excellent lengths and grades, including BR-204 which intersected 231.0 metres of 1.11g/t Au, BR-206 which returned 178.5 metres of 1.25 g/t Au and BR-208 which cored 195.0 metres of 1.09 g/t Au.

Drill results from holes on Mitta Lake include BR-192 which returned a significantly better than expected intersection of 87.0 metres of 0.85 g/t Au, just below a shallow portion of the northeast end of the Lake. Owing to the lack of previous drilling, the existing resource model did not report any significant resource in this area.

Assay results for the first several holes drilled at the RAB exploration target have been received, including hole BR-203 with 12.1 metres of 1.00 g/t Au, starting at surface. Other significant intersections include BR-225 which intersected 46.5 metres of 0.66 g/t Au and hole BR-210 that cored 66.0 metres of 0.45 g/t Au. Assays for other RAB holes are pending and the results of these holes will be evaluated for planning the next phase of drilling in the RAB area.

Assay results from the first two of four planned phase 1exploration holes at Sande and Stewart returned encouraging results. Hole BR-234 intersected 34.5 metres of 0.45g/tAu. Assays data for the bottom of this hole are still pending

Of particular interest in A-Zone drilling is hole BR-214, a step out hole, drilled down dip to the southeast, further down dip than any previous hole in that area. This hole cored rock with apparent weak alteration, however it returned five gold-bearing intervals above a 0.30 g/t Au cut-off. Intervals range from 10.5 to 46.5 metres in drill length, with grades that will be incorporated into the next resource estimate. Two of the better gold zones in this hole are 24.0 metres of 0.76 g/t Au and 46.5 meters of 0.39 g/t Au. The mineralization encountered in this hole, with its subtle alteration, indicates further potential down dip in the A Zone, and additionally suggests new exploration potential in the more subtlety altered rocks at Hammond Reef.

Mitta Lake drilling ended prematurely due to an exceptionally early spring breakup. However, most of the critical holes on Mitta Lake were drilled before the ice was too thin to support further drilling. The holes not completed on the ice will be drilled from shore this summer, or if warranted, they could be drilled from a barge. The geological interpretation of these results is on-going.
