I'm not surprised that (so far) there's been a fairly muted response to the news of drilling on Jaguar because this will take 6 months to complete. I suspect that excitement about Jaguar will begin in about 5 months, unless there are earlier indications of an oil hit and this is leaked to the market.

However, news about Eagle Shallow drilling may be different because this will take only two months.

But JV news on Eagle Deep should be a real share price mover, especially if it is with Tullow or Repsol. Both companies have experience and technological expertise in dealing with this kind of geology. Moreover, many consider Jaguar and Eagle Deep to be step-outs from Abary, which is known to contain oil. Eagle Deep is also thought to be analagous to the successful Zaedyus and Jubilee wells of Tullow. So, if Tullow or Repsol JV's on Eagle Deep, this may imply that they see features on the 3D surveys confirming that this anomoly has high odds of being a hit.
