SHENZHEN, China, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- China Information Security Technology, Inc., (Nasdaq: CPBY - News; "China Information Security," "CIST" or the "Company"), a leading application software developer, systems integrator and full-service Geographic Information Systems ("GIS") solutions provider to public security and civil-use markets in China, today announced three contract wins. The Company won contracts for the Command System and Remote Data Backup System for the Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, the First Responder Coordination Platform for the Shenzhen Transportation Bureau, and the Shenzhen Traffic Police GIS System, at a combined contract value of $5.7 million.

Command System and Remote Data Backup System for the Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection

CIST has been awarded a contract to construct the Command System and Remote Data Backup System (the "Command System") for the Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, with a contract value of $3.2 million.

The Company expects that the Command System will centralize reporting, commanding and processing of exit and entry of people and vehicles so as to realize more efficient control and management. The System aims to protect important business information and to recover the whole system in case of any data damage due to unforeseen disasters. It's a follow-on order to the Intelligent Border Control System that CIST previously constructed for the Shenzhen General Station.

First Responder Coordination Platform for the Shenzhen Transportation Bureau

CIST's First Responder Coordination Platform integrates emergency response systems used by the Police, Fire and Traffic Police, into one consolidated platform. CIST's centralized reporting, command and execution system enables a rapid response to any type of emergency.

The contract for the First Responder Coordination Platform for the Shenzhen Transportation Bureau, valued at $0.8 million, will facilitate the electronic declaration of hazardous goods at the Shenzhen Port, automate statistical data of declaration information, as well as communicate with other administrative departments. The system will also enable the department to monitor the on-site processing of hazardous goods via remote visual instrumentation.

Shenzhen Traffic Police GIS System

The Company's fundamental PGIS platform includes editing, managing and maintenance of a comprehensive PGIS database, mapping and analysis of police information, and processing of police public data and thematic data. The Company provides PGIS customers with specialized GIS services, including specialized mapping, geographic positioning, messaging, automated police patrol monitoring, patrol history tracking and work hour management.

The contract for the Shenzhen Traffic Police GIS System, valued at $1.7 million, is expected to provide the Shenzhen Traffic Police Bureau with high- speed, high-quality visual and digital police-use GIS instruments for traffic guidance, management and decision making.

"We believe these contract wins further demonstrate the continued execution of our growth strategy and the strength of our business model," commented Mr. Jiang Huai Lin, CEO of China Information Security. "The Command System and Remote Data Backup System for the Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection and the Shenzhen Traffic Police GIS System represent follow-on orders from existing customers via product line extensions, while the First Responder Coordination Platform for Shenzhen Transportation Bureau represents a new customer for us."
