REGINA - Saskatchewan is mining a Toronto trade show for new recruits to fill jobs in the province.

The government, the Saskatchewan Mining Association and two universities are looking for workers at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada trade show on March 6.

The move comes as the province launches the next round of a campaign to attract workers to its growing economy.

Enterprise Minister Jeremy Harrison says it's estimated that 75,000 workers will be needed in the next several years and about 15,000 in the mining industry alone.

Harrison says the province is working with industry to bridge significant labour gaps.

Several Saskatchewan mining companies including BHP Billiton (NYSE:BHP - News), Cameco (TSX:CCO.TO - News), Potash Corp (TSX:POT.TO - News) and Mosaic will be at the recruiting event.
