Hey all,
I'm sure most people here are reading posts on both boards. But for those who are not here is a post from yesterday that "ellen" had received from steve.
Re: Oil Shale Blues - true or false? As promised - here is the reply I got back from Steve today.
Thanks for this.
Oil shales being discussed in this article are quite different from the
Green Point shale and other shale deposits which are either producing
currently or are being pursued across North America and elsewhere. Oil
shales need to be mined and processed to convert kerogen to synthetic crude.
In formations such as the Green Point, the hydrocarbons have already been
formed naturally but are contained in "tight" rocks which, typically, have
to be hydraulically fractured to allow the gas and/or oil to be produced.

This is a very informative email from Steve with a very personal and professional tone. It makes me think that we may soon hear something about shoal point shale oil. In my opinion this is very positive. Everyone can take what they want out of this email...it is still open to interpretation. But I'm a glass is half full type of guy so I try and see the positives and potential.
Regards,
