Mr. Graeme Sewell reports
CANASIA INDUSTRIES CORPORATION: 152.34 GRAMS PER TONNE (3.87 OZ/TON) ACHIEVED FROM INITIAL BULK SAMPLE ON CLONE PROSPECT
Canasia Industries Corp. has received the first set of grades back from processing of the bulk sample sent in from the Clone gold prospect in the Stewart gold district of British Columbia. The results from this portion averaged 152.34 g/t gold or 3.87 oz/ton gold. The Clone Gold Prospect recently returned grades including 12.8 metres (42 feet) of 44.75 grams per tonne (g/t) (1.305 ounce per ton) gold values including 4.87 metres (16 feet) of 76.8 g/t (2.24 ounces per ton), (announced October 22, 2009). A more aggressive follow-up drill program is being planned for this year, which is expected to commence in the second quarter 2010.
Negar Towfigh, President of Canasia stated, "We are pleased with the results attained from the initial numbers from the 10 tonnes sent for the bulk sample. We look forward to this year's drill program on the Clone, as the numbers achieved last year were the best Canasia has ever drilled. We are optimistic that the upcoming drill season will further delineate out the potential deposit indicted by last season's drilling results and these bulk sample results. Couple this with our Reed Lake drill program that is expected to start drilling within days and the assays from our Mexican Gold Prospect anticipated shortly and it is clear that Canasia is in a period of potential significant corporate growth."
Canasia will have company representatives attending the PDAC trade show in Toronto on March 7th and 8th. Canasia is also pleased to announce that Gordie Howe, "Mr Hockey" will be signing autographs from 10am to 12pm on Monday March 8th at Canasia's booth number 2612.
