You are not confused, IMO CGNH took a less promotional route to announce that Merck met product specification with their news release. For me this type of low key approach is preferred, rather than some press release full of puffery.

What we now know is that Merck can not only produce the beads to specification but they have implemented a plan to make them commercially available in September 2010. IMO this is the best news we could have expected and we received it in a low key professional announcement.
