I doubt anyone should read anything into Farrant's departure other than the potential of a failed power play.  How does a CFO leave a company when statements are required to be out and not give them notice ... He may have appeared to be on the ball, but any professional who acts in such a way has either been removed or is attempting a power play .... even with philosphical differences ... when i have left similar roles ... I offered the company the option of me leaving today or in 1 month's time to support any transitional issues they may otherwise face.  They appreciatively took the latter.

This incident smells of something and I am wondering if it isn't lack of professionalism we may very well be better off without.
