Thought I would paste this here from my post last night on FNC as it also directly relates to my thoughts on Champion:
It occured to me today that a scenario i would really like to happen is for Champion to buy out Fancamp. That would give them 100% of Fermont, and a boatload of our properties. I expect Fermont to go around 150-200 million, which they could then apply to Magpie, ROF, whatever. WHat i do know is they would be focused and execute a plan rapidly...let's face it, these guys have been simply amazing to watch how they run their company. And i think they are builing quite a market cap to pull something off like this.
I'm not sure about Peter's connection to the gang at CHM, but if it's positive, would they go for a friendly merger?? All i know is that i want this company out of Peter's hands, i do not trust his savvy or willingess to compromise on a deal. Who knows what kind of deals he is turning down (if any). I just don't think he's a reasonable negotiator and for me it's evident that he has his few puppets on this board that he keeps spinning. I'l finish with an opinion that I think he curses the ROF discovery as that put Fancamp front and centre on the map, and given the way the company was operating prior to that and since, i think it's the last thing he wanted! Btw - has he ever even been to McFauld's? How 'hands on' is he? That is in part why CHM should take us out and appoint Peter some Senior role where he does not have to bother with a business strategy.
And i do agree with Stockgreed - there is no way i want Peter to be in control of any payments we receive. It better be a dividend for shareholders.
Good night
