Gold production and acquisitions in China.
Jinshan Gold Mines Inc. (TSX:JIN) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it will change its name to China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd. effective July 19th, 2010. The new TSX symbol will be "CGG". The name change was approved by the shareholders of the Company on June 17th, 2010 at the Company's annual general meeting. The name change demonstrates full commitment and support of China National Gold Group Corporation ("China National Gold") to the Company to serve as its international vehicle. China National Gold is the only enterprise directly supervised by the State Council in the PRC that focuses on the exploration, mining, gold smelting, refining, processing and gold sales. China National Gold is the largest gold producer in the PRC by gold output (calculated based on total output of finished gold produced from mines and from gold) and also has active operations involving other non-ferrous mineral assets. The Company is also actively exploring business opportunities regarding gold and non-ferrous projects. Further updates will be forthcoming in future news releases on the status of these developments.
As of June 17th, 2010, Mr. Xiangdong Jiang has been elected as a director of the Company. Mr. Jiang also serves in a management capacity as the Vice President of Production.
