As to the ride back up, it may be gradual and bumpy but I believe quite rewarding. The index provides a much broader base of stable shareholders who are professionals and results in a more realistic price except at vulnerable moments such as yesterday. A high percentage of index fund holders relative to other types of investors/funds may have accentuated the volatility looking at the volume. The takedown , in the light of all that is known , was in my view contrived /planned , and is a sign to me there are likely one or more major strategic buyers and agents other than the index/investor funds. Just my view, but probably not disputed by industry observers. They will not be able to confuse anyone once June 30 approaches, and that is only 60 days hence. Needless to say, all the normal market risks remain, but those will lessen somewhat with finreg.
