Historic Discovery Along Porcupine Destor Fault
There was a certain time period required for Osisko to mobilize in as the new "operator" of the exploration drilling. Now that they are drilling, it will take time for results to come in, check assays to be send out and those results returned to Osisko, this takes time beyond just the drilling time. Also there are other sets of data for Osisko and Clifton Star to consider related to Duparquet mill tailings and residue. One option might be to de-water the mine workings, I am sure curious to learn how the deposit looks below the open pit limit and extent of current drilling, a nice picture might exist at depth... patience is need for now, with the drills turning we will see a steady stream of news once the initial results are announced, IMO.
MineralField sales have had less of an impact than I expected over the last few months for which I am grateful. The recent pull-back in share price is a correction and someone taking a nice profit I'm sure.
I guess the largest question to be answered is whether or not the drilling within the porphyry body will show sufficient value to be compared to Malartic in size and grade. My confidence is high because initial assays from archived core shows mineralization extending beyond the high-grade zones for many tens on meters at shallow depths at the Beattie mine. If the identified shear zones within the intrusive porphyry are mineralized with halo zones of gold values then this share price will look like a good entry point for new investors IMO. The key is to have had a robust mineralization of the porphyry body 2 billion years ago. We should know soon, then the market will price in the up or down verdict of the drill bit.
The share structure of Clifton Star is very attractive for me, Osisko has ten times the number of shares outstanding with the flagship Malartic Mine to open soon. To consider the possibility that the Duparquet Project might size up to Malartic, with the money on the table to find out and expert hands directing this effort, IMO i feel that there is still plenty of upside if early results indicate that the Duparquet syenite may be a gold porphyry similar to Malartic.
I have not sold any shares, my position is long and holding, well in the money. Not Investment advice, DYODD
