We are revising our outlook on Compton Petroleum Corp. to stable from negative. We are affirming the 'B' corporate credit rating on the company and our 'B-' senior unsecured debt rating on subsidiary Compton Petroleum Finance Corp. Compton has reduced its debt levels meaningfully with the completion of its bought deal equity offering and the sale of its 2.5% gross overriding royalty. The stable outlook reflects our view that Compton should be able to maintain its guidance production levels and sufficient liquidity in the near term.
