Recently Gusella "gifted" some shares. Though I don't know this is another such situation, I use this as an example of a good reason to sell for purposes of such. If one for example, gifted shares at a low per share price into an "educational" trust for ones grand children to maximize the potential ultimate gain in the educational trust. This would be perfectly rational from both a personal, businness and efficacy point of view. Unless one knows the reason and logic behind a given action, one cannot know the appropriateness of the action!
