Solo:
In this most recent case, I will freely admit that I was wrong about manipulation. Bear in mind, that my observation was prior to the press release with respect to Petrolifera which of course does from a balance sheet point of view impact Connacher.
As for there never being a case for apparent manipulation, I will take exception to such. Perhaps some remember the massive sell off about 6 to 8 months ago. They took CLL down to 2.52 from better than 3.00 for no apparent reason. I must say, I took advantage of the situation to add considerably to my positon amidst the resultant short covering. Or about one and 3/4 years ago when they in an afternoon ran CLL up to as I recall, around $6.20 and then there was a massive short which took place in After Hours.
There have been many other similar anomalies over the past 2 and 3/4 years I have owned Connacher.
Though at times I become frustrated with as I view it, the "fun and games", however I actually am a patient individual. Accordingly, I tend to take advantage of the manipulation, as I see it, to add to my long positon. Also, I only play the market from the long side. If I believe in a company, I tend to only buy when others are selling.
Please accept my aology for what I feel was in some ways an overly exuberant reaction towards you last night.
Having said that though, I believe that manipulation of stocks does exist and is practiced on a somewhat regular basis.
