Good posting ,Sharky. You got my vote.
Like you said there is no safe stocks to invest. Some of them have a higher degree of the risk then others. CLL risks has been lowered recently by speculative money running the commodity prices to the roof.
With the $100 + oil, free cash flow should support CLL expansion. The risk of financial meltdown here is low providing that SAGD will work as plan.
However this will not guarantee that the market will award CLL with respectful valuations. Do not forget that we are the participants in the biggest casino on the world were millions of people and institutions are in direct competition with each other moving from one hot sector to the other..
Some call it manipulation and others opportunities on the free markets (look at the CLL insiders selling at $5 range---perfect timing).
Watch for the the big opportunity in financial sector in the next 2 to 3 months after the bad Q2 reports. Most of the Canadian and Europeans banks are in the good shape. I bought (prematurely) AIB -Allied Irish Bank which you may know is well diversified including Eastern Europe----7.5% dev.
