In my former day job as an environmental consultant, I prepared applications for environmental approvals for clients in Ontario. An approval could take up to 18 months !!.

If public consultation was required, The Ontario Ministry of the Environment would review all public comments before issuing the Certificate of Approval. The company brochure

indicates that public consulation is ongoing through 2008. To me that indicates that, if the same process is followed in Alberta as in Ontario, there won't be approval until 2009.

Or did I miss something?
