But I think we are losing sight of one thing: didn't the investment in MRC get paid off, by the refinery profits, within about 15 months of purchase? It's kind of like the free shares that were discussed earlier - does it really matter right now if they are going through a period with no profitability? The industry is cyclical, and eventually we'll start getting refinery profits again from a "free" asset.
