I don't think the issue is selling what they have Brian, People who buy asphalt need to know costs for bidding jobs. So in reality they bought asphalt at a future price. MRC sold that future, if oil had gone down and MRC made higher margins would we be saying whoever made that deal is a genius. Its hedging and it is common, win some lose some. Slow and easy price changes make it easier for refineries, the spike caught the whole world off guard, not just MRC.
