One consideration. With the Olympics and following those the Special Olympics in Beijing, oil was essentially taken off line in China for the month of August and at least the first half of September as the government severely restricted automotive traffic. Additionally, do you recall about five months ago when US Treasury Secretary Paulson and Fed Reserve Chairman Bernanke were in China together? I would not be surprised that on that agenda was a run on all commodities including, oil, metals, fertilizers, etc. After all, 1 trillion dollars of US debt owed to China, comes with a price tag. This run on all commodidties may have been an intentional effort on the part of Central Banks to deflate all commodites including oil!
