Connacher is a growing exploration, development and production company with a focus on producing bitumen and expanding its in-situ oil sands projects located near Fort McMurray, Alberta
I just received a reply from Mr. Gusella about his newswire quote.
He said he was referencing WTI oil.
In my email I included Jureks post on needing $100 oil to break even.
Part of his response was:
"I have seen this but most people do not understand relationship between wti and bitumen netbacks which are complicated by transportation, cost of diluent, differentials, g and a, total capital and return, usd versus C$,RoR expected, price of natural gas and on it goes, so you have to make approrpriate assumptions for a normalized situation and for example, not startup op costs such as have been mentioned by some calculators ae we were still ramping up, experimenting with certain chemicals, doing minor debottlenecking, etc."
