Please remember there have been two major hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico. Producing rigs were shut down...many still not up, producing again. Refineries shut down due to dammage, no electricity and a now much shallower Houston Ship Channel. Not as much oil delivered...not as much oil refined.
Their are major gasoline shortages in Nashville, Atlanta and other Southern cities. High possibility the gasoline shortages will expand to other areas.
Combined, these factors would falsely indicate to the uninformed, that demand is down. Demand remains high but the product is not available to satisfy demand, imo.
