So what can OPEC do to find this precarious balance between supply, production and demand?

The drop in prices "sure makes it difficult for many of these new projects [oil sands in Canada for example] to move forward as the cost of construction requires prices higher than where they are in order to generate a decent return," said John Hancock's Hodge.
