On piping to the West Coast - it is not only unfortunate, but outrageous that we Canadians have boxed ourselves into a position whereby we have only one customer for our oil - and our natural gas and our electricity and our beef and our softwood lumber.........

Reminds me of a guy I met who had a manufacturing business. He was doin better, and then things got really good - Walmart contracted to buy his entire annual output! Unfortunately, a couple of years later he was told that he would have to reeduce his prices or they would source the product in China. By that time all his old customers had gone elsewhere, so he had to comply. This squeeze went on for a couple of years till he went out of business..........

Oil to the West Coast? Kinder Morgan is in the process of expanding their pipeline to a few hunderd thousand barrels a day. Enbridge was in the process of developing a 500,000 bbl/d pipeline to Prince Rupert, even had letters of intent to purchase the total shipped abount, but the some native bands interceded with similar results to the ever-promised MacKenzie River pipeline - deleays, delays, delays, delays,............
