Connacher is a growing exploration, development and production company with a focus on producing bitumen and expanding its in-situ oil sands projects located near Fort McMurray, Alberta
actually there will be a new "REFINERY" in New Brunswick,CANADA,it is being built by the IRVINGS,it is primarily for LNG but they have upgraded their Oil production, they are also proposing New Power Grid to utilize Local Oil and Ng,apart from ridiculing Peak Oil afficianados one could say that this is the very reason Refineries are not being built.
Connacher having bought the Montana Refinery may just be Management looking longterm,as should all investors.
Banks make loans available to those with long term RESERVES,dont know about forcing company to buy a refinery, seems rather farfetched to me??
As for Connacher being modeled after the likes of Syncrude,Suncor or Shell,I would submit that as being an incentive for investment, given their track record.
Back to refineries ,while I agree that New Refineries are not a drastic need NOW,you can be sure China and India have much to say about that subject.???
