Yes Brian not an easy sollution for this crisis I think.

I've written it before .Stock markets will be in ups and downs for some years I think.Some good moments followed by some bad.

Markets now or hoping the badest news is behind us and with the actions taken they hoping on a turn in situation which can be possible but like you said printing money has his wrong impact too.Also the supervising will put a demper on banking behavior which can be justified but I think climbs like we saw last 20 years in stocks weren't in fact based on bubbles .People bought to much on credit which was easy to get .Now this will be more controlled but that means that the amount of goods which can be bought will be less then before and so demping earnings from companies.Maybe that's not a bad case to prevent overconsumption again but will have effect on stocks.

Energy however could be something to stay in because oil is something every econmy needs and is in depletion.
