There have been three analysts on BNN over the last three days who have commented on Connacher Oil & Gas. Connacher appears to be getting a lot more attention lately. Why? Those of us who have been holding a long time know why. In terms of Connacher's value at present, nothing has changed nor is it likely to change until Algar is completed and Connacher's production of bitumen starts to increase. The attention to Connacher of late from Glen MacNeill, John Stephenson and Bill Harris has more to do with their firms buying the flow through shares. Bill Harris admitted yesterday that his firm purchased the flow through shares for tax purposes.
The firms who are giving forward guidance of $1.65 a share to $2.00 a share over the next 12 months are doing this so that they can build interest in the market and sell the Connacher shares that they purchased months ago for .90 cents when Connacher increased its liquidity by doubling the number of shares that it unloaded on the market. No, while I am still positive on Connacher, we must wait for the Q-3 report this week to determine the true state of affairs with Connacher's value. Many on this board originally bought Connacher at high prices because of what the analysts said on BNN in the past. We won't be fooled again.
Best Wishes; Scott
