It may be that the $ and the Euro and $ go to parity. Therefore, the $ will strengthen versus the Euro. However, relative to other currencies they will both depreciate in value. We both have way too much debt and balance sheets that are terrible.

Canada which is in much better financial condition than US or Euro Land will do well in their currency and exports due to oil, gas and metallic minerals to supply the developing world. US will have agriculture and as the $ devalues manufacturing will begin to return to the US. Then we will find out if anyone in the US still knows how to manufacture an industrial product.
