Sorry I misspoke re: China being the largest consumer of oil. They are now the largest total consumers of energy in all forms.

China oil consumption is growing 7.+ percent per year at present while the US is in slight decline. Only a matter of time however until they surpass the US in oil consumption. China is cutting deals for oil all over the world.
