With the additional Quanitative Easing to be phased in, the US$ will continue to decline in value vs all other currencies. Translated, the US is going to start paying more for oil as the price of a devaluing US$ automatically translates into higher prices for oil priced in US$.
The "printing" of US$ will depreciate the value of the US$ ultimately inflating away US debt. But, all commodities will cost more priced in US$, but less in other currencies. Those US Citizens not positioned in assets which will appreciate as the US$ depreciates, will get killed.
Canada as a producer of "hard assets" should comparatively do well as the US$ weakens. So will all other "hard asset" currencies. Visiting the US is about to get a lot cheaper for Canadians. The decline of the US$ will inexorablly begin!
