1984:
The US Senate passed the bill 85 to 15. It should be voted upon by the House of Representatives tomorrow. Pelosi and her minions still temporarily control the House of Representatives and could vote it down. However, the House of Representatives passes to the control of the Republicans right after New Years.
Should Pelosi and the House of Representatives vote it down, the first order of business under the soon to be Republican controlled House of Representatives will be to overturn the action of the current Democratic House. This would happen on the very first day of Republican control.
It is interesting that the still, even after the seating of the new House and Senate, majority Democrat Senate passed the Budget Bill by a vote of 85 to 15. A veto proof number. This may well have been an intended message to Pelosi by her fellow Democrats in the Senate. Do not see how the current ultra liberal House of Representatives led by Pelosi can possibly prevail!
