Husky upgrader running near half capacity
Husky Energy's Western Canadian heavy oil upgrader is running at 40% to 50% of capacity as the company makes repairs following a fire last week, a spokesman said today Feb 9). It is expected to be back to normal by the end of the month. Normal capacity is 82000 bbl/d. Enbridge line is 190,000 bbl/d for 5 days. 1,000,000 barrels for enbridge, 45000 times 20 days, lets round to 1,000,000. Horizon at 110,000 per day for 2 months then probably 2 months at 50,000 bbl/d.
This leaves an extra glut of about 12-14 million barrels of bitumen
