You maybe right.
When you look at this chart you can see that since April 2008 POD1 production is stuck slightly above 1000 m3 (6500 to 7000 bbl/d). SOR is stuck just bellow 4.
Since POD1 moved from 15 to 19 well pairs producing the steam injection (except the down times) is steady at about 4000 m3 which would indicate steady level of NG use.
On January 5 CLL reported December 2010 average monthly bitumen production of 14,300 bbl/d. Today they reported record (????) average monthly production of 14,169 bbl/d.
Last 5 months of production at about 14,000 bbl/d is suggesting that the Algar has enter the same pattern like the POD1 ( about 7000 bbl/d).
As you said.... they produce the same amount of steam, therefore nat gas the same (usage) regardless of output.
