FURTHERMORE:
Every year that the Gateway pipeline is not built, we lose about $20 per barrel that we (at this point in time) can only sell south to the States.
Were the Gateway complete and in operation, the Canadian economy would realize $20 x 500,000 barrels per day, x 365 days per year, for a total annual cost to the Canadian economy of $3.65 Billion. Together, this plus your number costs us over eight billion buck a year.
It will be interesting to see if the Harper government has the gonads to stand up to those few thousand folks opposing the Gateway; so fat they have only been offered a few thousand dollars each to play along.
