Yes pod 1 cutting back wasn't a good decission but the most important was the risk to take such a high debt upon the shoulders to built Algar in a timeframe with very high risk when the crisis started. The leaf also to the doubling in share amount for another finacial deal .Why didn't they sell parts of PDP to get some money in the times the sp was in the high range. Was is a good idea to buy the refinery? After all it never has weighted on the sp.very much. They could sell that as well and probably with a nice return.
At the start things went very nice and on contruction basis they did well .So for that part no bad points .But he was more a gambler guy and never took in mind that oil price never goes up in one way .Sometimes it goes down and on that part they hadn't count on it and came to the conclusion they run out of money to expand the rest because they need to pay back the high debt.Very sad if you see towards the potential this company can go IF thry had the needed money to go on which isn't anymore.
I agrre now that with the higher bitumen price and the situation is getting better and oil is still above 100 we could see some good results. But if you read all the postings for a long time on all the boards CLL is on a lot of people didn't trust the management.IMO though I don't like him I'm not so pleased it goes that way but it's not a surprise it happened.
Now let's wait and see how things will come out. Some are talking about 1.55 + right now.I can live with that and had made a lot of money then but I would like to see the company stays on the market and new leadership founds a way to get the expansion done.I believe if CLL had the money to go on with all the assets and reserves they have and the conventional piece also could support for a nice return in the future we could have benefitting for that. Now we don't know but IF it's taken out at 1.55 or even a lot higher it's ok for me.I had made good profits then but I would dislike it because there is more in the pipeline of that company. We'll see what we get.for people who never traded that stock it's a sad story.
