Connacher is a growing exploration, development and production company with a focus on producing bitumen and expanding its in-situ oil sands projects located near Fort McMurray, Alberta
...It will be curious to see whether Evans and Ogle are still independent if they are getting paid for their work. Also the company's lawyer may be conflicted....
Very good observation.
Also, I think you may entertain the idea that most of us here do not believe in Directors Independence. I have a feeling that you know very well who was calling the shots there. Certainly not an independently dependent (on high Remuneration, Share Based Awards and Options) Evans and Ogle who as an Inexperienced Rookies will run this struggling Corporation.
PS:
1. Do not get frustrated with the Dread-Dogs. They do not care about logic or rationality. Getting a good trim is all they care. Old Dogs are totally different types of dog breeds <(-'.'-)>
2. Good to hear from you Den.
Correct me if am wrong but Goldman Sachs was advising CLL in the past with not so good results for the shareholders. As you pointed out the expenses will add up here :
~$8-9 millions for severance payments (if dismissal is not challenge in the court)
~($?? million or more) Goldman
~($?? million or more) Rothschild
Hopefully higher bitumen prices can cover these unexpected expenses.
