It seems to me that long term prospects for Connacher may be impaired by the great cost per barrel of adding production, compared to the cost of developing Bakken and related shale production. As a crude (oops) approximation one might estimate $300 Mil. to get 9000 bbl/day of bitumen, versus X dollars to get Y bbl of better grade, higher value/bbl. Bakken oil.

I am not in the industry, but my guess is that the relative costs of development are a negative factor against Connacher's take-out prospects. Is there a guru out there with insight on these relative costs?
