To answer the second part of your question, one converts small quantities of gold into currency on as needed basis. If not needed then one just retains the precious metal in hopes of appreciation. Trust me, in the last one to ten years, gold has far, far outperformed Connacher. So, a better question might be why are you in Connacher?
