Sweden has, for many years, had a ban on the mining of uranium. Within the last year, the ban was officially 'lifted', but the permitting to mine is on a project-by-project basis and the minister in charge of permitting told a reporter some months back that he did not anticipate any new uranium mines to be permitted in the near future.
I think, for this reason, CZQ has started looking into bioleach methodology as a more environmentally friendly way to extract their uranium, in hopes of persuading the government to issue them a permit to mine the uranium ore utilizing bioleach methodology to extract the uranium.
The company's July 28th press release, is entitled: "Continental Precious Minerals to Conduct Metallurgical Studies Using Bioleach Technology".
