Message: Why now?

Since the Fox is now starting to effect my sleep patterns, I have to ask: is anyone else a tad perplexed with the timing of this potential propspectus? If we intend to raise big dollars for a Teck option buy-out or some other reason that might require $2-300 million or more dollars, why now? I can't see any share offering at much of a premium over the current price - maybe $1.50 a share if we are lucky but if the intent is to raise large dollars, why haven't we handled the release of the TITAN news with more play. A halt in the stock. Some follow-up public discussions. Maybe a BNN interview. I realize the timing may be aimed at the up-coming New Orleans Resource conference, but if we wait perhaps 6 weeks more, we will have a very, very positive Bank Feasibility Study which will show an impressive negative cost base for producing copper compared to others in the industry who are happy with their costs the low plus $1.00 range, as well as a mine cost payback of 3 years or less for a mutli-metal deposit with a mine life in the decades. That will give us a significant bump in the share price, then do the prospectus.

There will have to be some solid reasoning for the prospectus now - do we already have a deal and a buy-out price with Teck contingent on financing? Is there a JV agreement in place which will be disclosed and we are just shopping for the right corporate partners? I'm sure John Q. Public will not get a shot at this one.

I can't see Teck backing completely out of this one. Perhaps a 10-15% carried interest, some cash and a deal done now so CUU can get on with putting together a JV. That would look good to their shareholders.

I'm trying to keep the faith and know we will be pleasantly surprised, but I guess in the next two weeks we will know whether this has a six month or less happy ending, or a 2-3 year play-out. There are so many possibilities but I have to buy toys for my grandkids for Christmas.
