Not sure I understood exactly the spot you thought they should have a drill in mudguy. Pls clarify,

Did it have to do with the "Legal clarification" they were seeking earlier this year?

Or maybe they were only interested in drilling the part that was definately part of the Teck deal to prompt a quicker start of the BFS clock?

I recall Mike saying that the Paramount was their focus. Doesnt mean other areas did not get them excited,
