Message: Dual class structures in a publc company

In 1956 when the ford family decided to go public they issued themselves Class B shares , these shares ensure that the Fords have 40% voting rights forever no matter how many Class a shares they issue to raise money . The shares they own are 6% of the float . Not only do they have 40% voting rights the odds of someone garnering enough votes thru ownership or proxies from the 60% to thwart their plans is slim .

Teck has a Dual class structure with some differences . Teck's Class A get one vote per share but the Class B shares get 100 votes per share . I didn't research the origins of Teck going public but imagine they were the same .

So if we're worried about Teck giving a shite about what they pay for Cuu due to shareholder concerns just substitute Keevil for Ford . I also think that the % of investors that are up to speed on how said companies are being run would be very low . Look at it this way , take the amount of Companies on stock exchanges in N.A. alone and fact that we have One and a half forums to discuss CUU .
