I moved some money from my trading into my TSFA earlier this year.

From what I understand it acts like a sell and then buy back. So you will pay tax on any gains you have made to the date you transfer the shares into the TSFA.

Also, I believe that when inside the TSFA, any losses would not be eligible for a tax loss write off against gains from elsewhere. So gain or loss no tax implications.

JMO
